Just for the record, forager bees are females, and also, all of the bees that construct the hive, store the honey and feed the babies are also all females. The males are drones, and their purpose is to mate with the females to produce baby bees. So the males are far from worthless becuase without them the bee species would go extinct, it's just that female bees do all the things that people know bees do, like actually making the honey. Whenever you see a bee on a flower, it's a girl.

Also, drones cannot sting like female bees can. However drones will do their best to protect the hive by flying into your face to scare you off. Drones don't do much else though.
